Raquel Echeandía
PhD in Communication, specialising in narrative design and production of indie games. Professor in Games Design and Animation degrees at the UEM. Fine Arts graduate, researching the crossroad between art, technology and narrative; IP of the research team in Art and Digital Design of the UEM. Raquel has taken part in research and teaching projects at an international level, publishing papers in indexed journals as well as book chapters published by reputed editors such as McGraw-Hill and Springer. With a strong academic and creative career, her work explores the creative process of game design and how they can feed from the study of the artistic and cultural heritages, creating level and narrative designs that are much more immersive and capable of creating an emotional connection with their players.
